Heph Labs is a robotics and physical AI engineering studio. We work with startups in two ways: as engineers embedded in your team, or as a team that takes on a project end to end.
What we do
Engagements usually start with one specific problem and a fixed scope. If it goes well, we stay on as an extension of your engineering team.
Software and system architecture
The structure underneath the robot: control-layer boundaries, hardware abstraction, data flow, and the interfaces between them.
Simulation and evaluation
Models of the system before the hardware exists, and the test harness that tells you whether a change made things better.
Research projects
Scoped investigations with a defined output. Feasibility studies, prototypes, and collaborative or funded work.
Fractional CTO and technical due diligence
Architecture reviews, technical roadmaps and hiring support. Investor-side assessments of robotics companies.
